Photography and watercolor fuse

So much greater than the sum of its parts, this brand new series combines mediums from opposite ends of the spectrum to create something unique and beautiful. A photograph made with ink is blended and manipulated with watercolor paint, techniques, and brushes.

In a world where traditional image making is being dominated by A.I. and digital trickery, Will has decided to go in the opposite direction with his photography. Every image is a real time and place where he is present with the beauty and wonder of our physical world; not a computer generated idea of something that never existed. These scenes are gone forever, but saved and cherished as timeless artworks that will be passed down for generations.

These painting/photo fusions are a new creation from Will Pierce, and here you see the first four pieces in the series. Each piece is a unique one of a kind artwork made from a combination of archival pigment photo ink and watercolor paint.

A painting comes from the mind as an interpretation, and a photograph comes from the human experience of being present with the subject. This series is unique, rare, and accomplishes both. Enjoy!
