"Dayscape" is a bridge to Pierce's earlier work as the only midday long exposure example in this collection. Experimenting with depth, texture and color, this piece lays a beautiful foundation that Pierce continues to build upon. Lowkey tones create mood, and the foreground texture creates interest and depth as it leads the viewer's eye around the image. Muted colors sooth, and the subject reminisces of far away places.
