"Deep Blue" depicts the first rays of sunlight, breaking through storm clouds off the shores of California. Clearing storms can put on a beautiful display, and convey a message of hope. These types of images have become difficult to find in this region due to the ongoing drought. Whenever a storm comes in or goes out, Pierce has a watchful eye on the horizon.
